dailybruin.com — UCPDs use of force disturbing, unacceptable: "Also shocking is witnessing the male student who was threatened with a Taser after requesting an officer's badge number. When innocent bystanders are threatened because officers don't know where to draw the line in applying force to victims, any policy that allows for weapon use should be thrown out."

"The use of Tasers as a form of enforcement when there is no imminent danger is unacceptable."

And that statement would be an opinion. A wrong opinion. A wrong opinion made by some pussy college student who would pee himself if he had to remove an unruly subject from anywhere.

Nowhere on that video is there any point at which a student asks an officer directly for his name and/or badge number and is then threatened in any way. The only time anyone asks for a name and/or badge number is by screaming it in the general direction of the officers while they are dealing with the suspect. The only time a student other than the suspect is threatened is when he gets in another officer's face and is inaudible to the cell phone camera. Please stop passing off editorial speculation as fact; the Daily Bruin has done quite enough of that already.
