the current president of pakistan (despite the fact that he came to power through a push) is trying but those crazy militant nutjobs in his country are trying to oppose him. if he doesn't get any support how is he supposed to sort out this problem.

It seems to be I didn't make myself clear (or people don't want to understand)What they did was wrong on so many levels. there is not even a law in the sharia that states you can behead someone for prostitution anyway. Also i am sick of people equating everything that happens in a supposedly Muslim country to Islam. it has to do with their culture, nothing with Islam. Apart from everything they did being wrong. The common misconception that there is a death penalty for adultery for women but not for men was something i was trying to address and explain. The problem is that even in those Muslim countries people are not actually told what sharia says, but the teaching of Islam is adapted to match local culture. The local culture is what is wrong and not the religion. For everyone who did not understand it from everything above:!!!Sharia does not apply to non Muslims!!!As long as people are kept uneducated about any issue being in the (so called) Muslim countries or any other countries, people will be at war with each other and minorities will be oppressed. If there is anything wrong with this attitude of Islam please explain what rather than saying you lier and accusing me.

The Muslim tradition, or obligation, to donate to charity is a noble sentiment. But, if I'm not mistaken, that charitable obligation does not extend to helping non-Muslims. Christian and Jewish tradition make no such distinction. Believer, non-believer, polytheist, doesn't matter, you help people in need. I'm not aware of any major charity that assists non-Muslims.As for the dog story, aren't dogs considered "unclean" in Islam just as pigs are? Strange that a story about an unclean animal would be popular.

Actually there are many examples of charities in istanbul, jersualem, and cairo that were specifically aimed at providing for poor jews ans christians started by Muslim leaders or just rich people. And dogs are not considered unclean. Cats have been popular in middle eastern culture since egyptian times. form the same period, the middle east has an aversion to dogs. there is nothing religious about it. even pigs are not unclean as you say, they are just not meant to be eaten. muslims are reqwuired to treat pigs with as much respect as any other animal..if you read the bible, jews and chirstians aren't supposed to eat pig either actually.
