babblin5.com— An analysis of Digg, the recent change in popularity requirements, and my reaction to it. How do you feel? How long will it take for this to get buried? Should be interesting....

give them time, my bet is the complaints will be heard and yielded to. hopefully. for the most part the more content that can reach the front page, the better.
If you have 200 friends that always digg your submissions, then cool, you and your friends like the same stuff (you have your own micro-digg community). However, that doesn't mean that your submissions should be brought to my attention. Case in point: Ron Paul submissions. I enjoy the occasional RP story if it is significant, but I don't want to see every one that is pushed to the front page by the same people. If you put aside the self interest in getting your own stories to the front page, you have to recognize that the whole idea is to create a sort of emergent intelligence in the system. A front page story is supposed to be one that is significant and appeals to a wider audience than a group of friends. The recent changes makes perfect sense to me. It forces you to use the site as it is intended.
Yeah, I know that smartass. The comments made in the MAIN THREAD do not appear. As in, when I check the comment that is in my profile, it doesn't show up on the thread. You know, shows up on my page, but not in the thread. Does that make any sense to you?

By the way, I rest my case about you Ron Paul Supporters<a class="user" href="http://www.ronpaulforums.com/showthread.php?t=99170">http://www.ronpaulforums.com/showthread.php?t=9917 ...</a>"I guess we have to be a little more crafty in our DIGG endeavors, like the BARACKOBAMA2008.com scandal "<a class="user" href="http://www.ronpaulforums.com/showpost.php?p=1058022&postcount=5">http://www.ronpaulforums.com/showpost.php?p=105802 ...</a>
