What if we no longer value morals? How does Twitter harm the moral values when there are no values to the morals? Does Facebook make it worse? IF I also play violent video games and eat pizza made by a half-naked illegal immigrant worker with a vibrating butt-plug who is twittering away while a Cuban refugee films it with a stolen camcorder to post on Youtube, will that degrade my morals or my values or my moral values?
Facebook and Twitter take nothing from my reading and I have never had friends so this does not affect me. When I have a child, I will not let them spend an inordinate amount of time on the computer, playing video games, watching tv, or texting. They will be read to and they will read. Socializing is still up in the air. I don't know if I feel comfortable forcing them to be around people when I never liked it.

I think your average 12- year old would find facebook and twitter ... certainly twitter, totally dull.
