gizmag.com — Music on the DS has just taken a giant leap beyond musical games like Electroplankton, thanks to the efforts of German programmer and musician Tob. Previously, using MIDI with the DS required getting geeky with a soldering iron - now the DS's internal WiFi card can be used to wirelessly send/receive MIDI to and from a "server" running on a PC.

That's one of the coolest things I've ever seen. Now, it just needs to be more practical.I hope somebody continues to add functions to this app.

I have a USB MIDI controller with knobs, buttons, and a cross fader. I use it for DJing digital audio. I could invite someone onstage, give her the DS, and let her apply realtime effects while she dances!WOW
