voiptelephonyservice.blogspot.com — It's a handheld device with a built-in microphone and a WiFi connection. Of course it was just a matter of time before it was hacked to make free calls. Compare some of the homebrew options to the official Nintendo methods of giving you VoIP on your NDS. ... Now when is someone going to port Skype?

you just use a headset, then you don't look like a crazy man talking to your DS

It's a good program though, in my comment above it might seem like i was bashing the app, but I wasn't. I was just saying how its totally NOT like 'a phone'.

@ Ignignokt01:Thanks for the feedback. It's unfortunate that your experience wasn't a great one. Hopefully the DS VoIP headset would improve the call quality. To address some of your concerns:# Yes, a WiFi phone is a type of phone.# The other homebrew app mentioned in the article is called HelloDS.# Though you seem to be privy to the plans of one developer, others can still work on developing dial-out capabilities and porting VoIP applications.

Does this only work for a DS Lite, or for the old, larger DS too? Also, how do you get it onto the DS? I may sound stupid, but how do you use wifi on your DS?

For a start, read the comments thread at http://www.digg.com/gaming_news/Nintendo_DS_Homebrew but take the suggestions (even the ones in the article) with a grain of salt
