I was thinking about this for a firearms application as well. Since the very high powered lasers are very expensive, especially the ones that attack to firearms. Would really like to see how stable we could make one of these.
Making on for my wife to carry when she goes to work. Making another so that I can juice it up enough to cut the arm off of anyone that had the death sentence in 5 systems
Option 1: build impractical dangerous deviceOption 2: put old two speed burner on free-cycle (or similar) so that someone else could use it for something worth while
Since videos in the video section have been split so there is no possibility of those showing up on Digg's homepage there will most likely be duplicates into the news section.Now, you can go ahead and move on to the next story after marking this as a dupe, quietly, e.g. not commenting that it is a dupe.

Also "Laser mice" don't actually use a laser they use an LED that cannot handle 9 volts either.

Umm... Yeah they do exist on the market, but they are usually surrounded by a DVD burner.
