Is it a common occurrence to circumcise children in countries where the predominant religion doesn't have a circumcision ceremony? No. Unless being uncircumcised is culturally "weird" , then it generally isn't done. Why do you think american women prefer circumcised men? If you showed me a poll that woen in a country where circumcision isn't common prefer circumcised men, then you'd have something. In many cultures men prefer fat women. The women aren't any more attractive, the culture just values different attributes. A hefty woman is seen as healthy and fertile. Think women are seen as weak and unhealthy. It still boils down to culture, which in the case of circumcision, stems from religion.
That's a very intelligent idea, but this article is about choosing superstition over factual evidence. Most people will tell you that it is ridiculous to not see a doctor if you are having serious health problems, and they come to that conclusion from hard evidence.
Heh. Unbelievable. On one side you speak of the Scriptures as inspired by God - on the other hand, you choose a single person (Martin Luther) whose words were NOT inspired by God, to decide for you which books are effectively scriptures. Perhaps you fail to see the irony behind this, but I do. And so I laugh. By the way, you didn't even read the book in question, did you? Therefore, you're forced to accomodate one or two passages of the scriptures to defend your viewpoint. It's as if you're trying to win a race when you're standing on one foot.
