torrentfreak.com— Transmission 0.7 Beta is by far the fastest, most light-weight and one of the most appealing BitTorrent clients for the Mac. Here's Torrentfreak's review of it.

@ GobdWrong. First of all, maybe you should read the whole thing. In this release, it does have a scheduler. I am sure more features will be added eventually. It may not be quite as good as ?torrent, but it is probably the closest we will get for Macs anytime soon.
Five features Transmission needs!1. Selective Downloading2. Oink! and other torrent sites supported3. Encryption4. RSS Support5. Abilty to make torrents
Transmission really needs a way to pick better trackers. If there are multiple trackers, Transmission always seems to pick the one with 0 seeds. Azureus seems to pick a better tracker most of the time.

@Dog_PaddleThe SVNs have been perfectly stable for me on an intel mac. I've had transmission running 24/7 on SVN builds for five weeks now without a single crash. Give it a go!This is for some reason a review of a very old svn version, and that it's not yet in beta. These are simply pre release builds, and the latest version ( http://chucker.mystfans.com/opensource/transmission/Transmission-0.7-svn-r1040.dmg ) includes some nice new icons and a torrent progress display like in xtorrent. All in all, I'd say it's now almost up to par with the shareware xtorrent.

Transmission isn't terrible, the developers' unwillingness to commit this patch -> http://transmission.m0k.org/cgi-bin/trac.cgi/ticket/108 is.

Yes, the devs really should commit the patch here-> http://transmission.m0k.org/cgi-bin/trac.cgi/ticket/108It does not hurt speeds at all!http://img208.imageshack.us/img208/9518/transmissionregif7.png

Bits on Wheels, despite the fact that it?s a 100% native client, was too slow and RAM-hungry for my taste. http://sooslic.com/?id=523http://blog.ashtech.info/2007/10/16/http://www.procleaner.nethttp://www.wmpowered.comhttp://search.ashtech.info/computers
