Ah f**k them. What is a Trainspotting sequel good for? The movie itself was nice, now they will not ruin the sequel, but the initial part too. Thank you, asswipes.

McGregor still holds quite a grudge against Boyle and has repeatedly stated in interviews in the past that he would not want to ever be involved in a Trainspotting sequel.

Just because it isn't the same as YOUR drug experiences, it doesn't make it utterly false. Welsh himself was an addict for a time. You're being a bit of a dismissive, judgmental prick yourself. A lot of people can relate to Trainspotting. The world does not revolve around you. Movies are not made to cater for you alone. Get over it. If you're going to criticise people's work because it's not about you then you're going to be at it for a very long time.Do as much smack as you like. Nobody cares.

I agree with you Elbart, a sequel will do us no good!! Trainspotting is a terrific movie by itself, I'm scared to see the sequel...

Can i just say, not to reinstate the arguement but as far as I'm concerned 420, I think your story is a tad pathetic and if you can honestly say that your life is "working fine" when your daughter is 17 and has moved out, your son is a puffhead and you, yourself, are a smackhead...... is that regulary called "fine"?!Maybe I'm another Conservative nutter (even though Im also a liberal) BUT i though "working fine was have a couple with '2.4' children who do their hardest to do well by their kids and push them to make correct choices; of education, of travel, of broadening their minds..or have I completely missed the mark here?!

porno will be a gr8 film, full of exciting twists and what the f**ks, great storyline and brilliant that he can keep the characters going after so long, those who say it will ruin the original are talkin bullsh*t... it will not and cannot tarninsh the success of the first one, mostly because u cant take away the success it had, but also it is 10 years on and a lot of people want to see how they ended up and what they are doin now.so before anyone else leaves a comment of negativity, sit down an read the book, its f*ckin awesome man,with some deeply disturbing parts that i'm not sure will make the final cut. i live just outside and work there everyday, im not a heroin user but i can relate to them cause there are so many in sub urban towns outside the city as well..i actually see irvine welsh sometimes as i work in the part of the city he is from and untill you've seen leith, and the people who frequent it, you know nothin about the inspiration of the genuis himself, that why no other writer can capture the dark side of the city quite like him..hope folk give it a chancepeace out..
