gametrailers.com— This game looks to be AWESOME. Page includes link to HD trailer. Note: disable adblock if you're using FF. I have to laugh, the ad before the trailer is for DnDO.

I'm supremely not excited by this. As others have mentioned, the idea that it takes place during the quest to destroy the One Ring takes pretty much all the tension out of it, as we KNOW the good guys win that one and I don't think an MMO is gonna rewrite Tolkien's work.Plus, some of the things in the trailer just don't make sense for an MMO. So that town there will be burning all the time, eh? 24/7, burning away, but you'll never be able to put it out and it'll never actually burn down. Riiiight.I suppose they could have things like that in instanced missions, but again, where would the plot go? Eventually the Ring gets destroyed.
You cant judge the game on a two minute trailer. If you do more research into the game it looks alot better then most of the threads give it credit for. For one thing the towns and buildings wont always be burning, the world constantly updates with villages getting pillaged by orc's and so forth. So a village you visited one day could be burning the next. And if it looks cookie cutter thats because every other fantasy MMORPG is in some compacity based on middle earth. But lets be honest it was a bad looking trailer, we didnt get to see alot of the gameplay and specifics. And its still being developed while we speak, so lets not get to hasty on judging it yet. Also im hopeful it will be better then DDO, its suppose to have better soloing with solo instances, and the graphix really dont look bad, ive seen screenshots that look way better then what i see in the video. So stay hopeful, give it time and a chance.

The only other continent is Valinor, so unless you're looking for Black & White III - Online, Middle Earth is the only way to stay canon.

Ya...that game looks gay as hell. Almost as gay as World of Warcraft...ok maybe a little more.
