DAMN RIGHT they're Regressives. I laugh my head off when liberals are described as "progressive," they want to bring the economy back to f**king 18th century mercantilism that inspired Adam Smith hundreds of years ago to write the "Wealth of Nations."
If you were wrong in the recent past about the exact same subject, on the exact same TV show, it would be logical to conclude that you are STILL wrong about it. Of course he's not just speaking for himself - he's speaking for all of the corrupt Wall Street greedocracy which caused our financial crisis in the first place and are now screaming that the pork is flowing to Main Street instead of Wall Street.
Republicans need to regroup, formulate a real plan that does not rehash old rhetoric or concentrate on handouts. Meanwhile, let their opposition be know but allow Pelosi, Reid, and Obama to charge down this road. It is the road to destruction. Socialism does not work, it NEVER has and it never will. When the depression is much deeper and the federal government is fiscally depleted and unable to pay the interest, the Democratic party will go the way of the Whigs and Federalists.Just like Carter, Obama's doom and gloom will make him a one term president. I am disappointed because I really did want the first African-American President to go into history as successful, not a complete failure. I guess the historian will be working OT to blame this all on racism. Ha, the administration is already on this angle.
>>>Well, Mister Responsible (and lucky) the value of your house has dropped through the floor. <<<No, I didn't buy a house I couldn't afford. I am not lucky...I am responsible. If I add up all the federal taxes I've paid, though, I could definitely have afforded a house with only a fraction of them left with me instead of given away to a war, those who choose not to work, etc.If these houses forclosed, there would be buyers at the fair market value of the homes. But propping up the costs keeps people out of homes. Obama, trying to be sure people don't get into homes, and that *possession* is the law, not who pays. Just like a common street criminal, so I shouldn't be surprised.
