cbs4boston.com — MillenniumMusic.com is a used CD retailer based in Charleston, South Carolina. You need to send 35 cds for an iPOD shuffle. They’ll give you a 2 gig Nano for 65 cds. The top of the line video IPOD will cost you 175 cds. I just got my 30 gig iPod in trade for 160 CD's (many were accepted at half value) plus $18 cash.

DANG! i figured that when you said 'cd's' that you meant any type of CD. But they only take retail music CDs. I hate misleading titles. Anyways, let me know if you find a service to buy/sell used games and software - Its all that i have in my collection ;D

This is a great idea, i love it. It'll be said when RIAA and MPAA file suit for copyright infringement. Even though it's not, it'll be said to see it go *tear*

This guy is right. Do the math. $400 for 175 CDs? That's $2.29 per CD, and they have to be in great shape AND a popular artist. It's really not a good deal. You could probably do better selling your CDs yourself on eBay.

i read about it in some magazine i cant recall it was quite big tho (like wired or pc mag) and they said the program didn't work too well since u had to pay shipping if they were rejected, and that the guidelines were VERY strict.. not too worth it..

The cd trade would be great for me since I've ripped my entire collection, but I no longer have the jewel cases... This seems to be a problem with most places, they always want the jewel cases for used cds. I kept the inserts with the cds and got case logic notebooks to store them in. It was a great space-saver, but now I can't unload the discs!

This is great. I read this digg on Friday July 7th. I went out and was able to pick up 184 CDs from garage sales. Total spent $51 plus gas. I drove around for about 2 hours. Today fixed and check the CDs and cases. Boxed it up and sent it UPS ground with insurance for $600. Cost on shipping $48. Now lets see what happens. I will post results if anyone is interested. Trying for 60 gb.
