engadget.com — Nobu's got just the thing. Known for its sleek in-wall PC designs, Nobu is busting out an 8-inch touchscreen version -- dubbed the N8 -- that packs either a 600MHz Intel Celeron M or 1.1GHz Pentium M CPU, 512MB of DDR RAM, 802.11a/b/g, Ethernet, a (thoughtfully included) 4GB SSD, and a trio of USB 2.0 ports; this household regulator also sports bui

It's even easier when you have 30 'top' diggers catapult your stories to the front page.

One of my technological wet dreams is a house where the walls are made of big flat screens. Cameras would track people walking around the house, and a rectangular section of the wall directly in front of them would show a computer display with a touch screen. As they moved, the virtual screen would move with them; they could pause to interact with it, or just keep an eye on it if it was showing changing data. This gadget is a small step in that direction. (Or maybe it's not, and I'm wildly off-topic.)

Spend $1,000-1,200 and get yourself a 1.8-2.0 GHz iMac Core Duo, take off the stand, and vesa mount it inside your wall. Granted its not touch screen, but someone please explain to me how touchscreen tablet PCs are still a niche product and yet someone expects it to be better by sticking it inside our walls? Yes because I plan to stand at my wall and navigating around Windows with my finger. In fact, on the scale of user interface design choices, I can think of few less disturbing. I can just see it now! Put Windows in your wall. Get it, windows! in your wall! Like where real windows are! But instead of it actually being a window its a computer! Wow, I should get money for that. But please, just send me cash because I don't want one of those, "Nobu."
