i think it looked great. for all of you hating on xgl shame on you. is a fairly new concept and needs time to take on implementation. although it may not be useful at this stage, there's plenty of ways it can grow. plus theres something to be said about having something look nice. it makes it more comfortable to use day in and day out. when im not on a server, i like my eye candy.
I think that the haters out there are missing the point of XGL and especially touchscreen displays. This is about providing users with a tactile computing experience in which they can directly and physically alter their enviroment and get real time feedback in doing so. Once this technology is pollished up and made available to mainstream consumers it will be a revolutionary improvement in the way humans interact with machines and data.
I could see spinning the cube to switch between users, which I do a lot of at home with four of us sharing this box. But, of course, I'd need a machine that could run multiple users simultaneously without bogging down. How about spinning the cube to switch between computers, like a kvm switch?

It's a real touch screen. The cube isn't tilting with his hand, his hand is tilting with the cube.

Why is it every YouTube video of some schmuck doing a "demo" of XGL/Compiz has to have such lame music in the background?
