For instance, a race condition that suddenly begins filling up the swap partitions, and will not empty on completion nor halt on command. How does one find a runaway program? As far as I know, there is no way to query swapspace.Tripwire was fun, but it takes forever to run; how do I _really_ know when I've gotten a rootkit (in time, that is)?I suppose that's why we are supplied with the sources, so we can add our own buttons. That can be time consuming though.I think that we need more useful documentation, and fewer miracle workers presenting less than useful miracle cures.
