Who can digg you down for the factual statement that torture is illegal?

Yes it is. Calories burned standing: http://www.dietandfitnesstoday.com/caloriesBurnedI ...Calories putting away groceries (e. g. carrying groceries, shopping without a grocery cart), carrying packages: http://www.dietandfitnesstoday.com/caloriesBurnedI ...In other words the difference between standing and an activity that for most people would be the most strenuous thing they do (walking around while picking up objects and carrying a moderate amount of weight) is less than 40 calories an hour. Even if you spent your entire waking day (16hrs) doing that, the 8hrs you spent sleeping (66 cal/hr) would still bring your net calorie usage lower than someone who's been standing for 24hrs.
