not so strange. If you notice freeways tend to be overly lightly traveled, trees appear to often times be bare, and there's an overwhelming lack of people on most beaches, streets, avenues, etc, and last but not least, the shadows tend to be very long and pointed toward the west. It would appear that most of the images are taken in the morning hours, so as to have less traffic/people/cloud covereage/accidents/who knows what. The trees all around are bare, and it's morning, so needless to say, she might have been a tit bit nipply.
OK...the only reason I'm here is because I heard about it on Conan O'Brien and of course I got curious. After looking at the picture, it's obvious to me that this is a person LAYING FACE DOWN. It's definitely a woman, and if she's wearing a bikini, the string would be invisible at that resolution. I don't know why other people didn't notice she's face down. It seemed immediately obvious to me.
Today on the radio they said they know who she is. She's in The Hague and she's 61 years old, Her neighbor told her about her being on Google Earth, and she didn't mind.
