Even if 20 million copies of that pokemon game sold for 50 bucks each, it'd only be a billion in revenue.WoW easily turned much, much more than that. Of course, most of it went to vivendi... and some of it goes to the RIAA, every month. Aint it funny?

What gets me about this list - it's basically 5 series. Pokemon, Mario, The Sims, GTA, and Gran Turismo. Of the 25 on the list, 7 don't fall under one of those series. DKC is almost a Mario game, (Nintendo - platformer - in the "Mario Universe"). Nintendogs is really its own series. Brain Age now has a sequel. Basically all of the games, (Halo 2, GoldenEye, WoW) are part of a series.One of two things - Innovation doesnt work - you must sequel for success. Or, people sequel the crap out of stuff that works.Maybe a little bit of both.
