Hmm wow just about everything that could have been said about this topic has been said. Anything more is just repetition. Honestly, this entire topic about religion will continue for eternity, who the hell cares who's right and who's wrong? I am a Christian, I believe in God, I've read the Bible, but I also know that the Bible isn't to be taken literally like most of the Christians do. I don't have to believe what everyone else tells me to believe, because everyone else isn't right. I go to church whenever I please although I prefer to pray by myself. I truly don't think that God will strike me to Hell for not going to church every Sunday and for not praying every single night, etc etc. As I've read in a comment above.. I agree that most Christians are hypocrites. All this Anti-Gay crap and anti- everything is just ridiculous. I don't care about what your sexual orientation is, and what your race is, you are still HUMAN. We all came from a vagina. No difference. It's what YOU believe that counts, not what everyone else believes. That's why this world is so crazy because people are being brain washed into thinking so many different things at once then adopting that belief as their own. If religion was meant to give you "a path to lead a good life" then why are people exploiting religion to fuel these crazy debates? Seriously, the more people believe in a main clause, the more people will warp it into something wild.
So I was smoking a bowl with a Christian, a Jew, a Muslim, an athiest, a Mormon, a Republican, a Democrat, and a Libertarium...um how did that joke go again? I don't remember, but we all had a good time and guess what...we didn't talk about religion or politics and all got along....hmmmmm....there's a concept...
I am afraid I do not understand this digg thing. How come we are not allowed to see the 10 points article? I actually would like to read it - even to forward it to someone if it makes any sense. Is this censorship? a mistake? How can we write anything sensible in response if we can't see it? Who suspended it? Why? Who can unsuspend it?Can someone repost them as a comment please. Or tell me what is the magic password to get past the "This Account Has Been Suspended" link.
@YellowStarTo answer both parts of your comment: When we die we go no where. We go back to dust. We do not go to heaven or hell. Solomon said it best:ECCLESIASTES 9:2 All share a common destiny--the righteous and the wicked, the good and the bad, the clean and the unclean, those who offer sacrifices and those who do not. As it is with the good man, so with the sinner; as it is with those who take oaths, so with those who are afraid to take them. 3 This is the evil in everything that happens under the sun: The same destiny overtakes all. The hearts of men, moreover, are full of evil and there is madness in their hearts while they live, and afterward they join the dead. 4 Anyone who is among the living has hope--even a live dog is better off than a dead lion! 5 For the living know that they will die, but the dead know nothing; they have no further reward, and even the memory of them is forgotten. (NIV)ECCLESIASTES 9:10 Whatever your hand finds to do, do it with all your might, for in the grave, where you are going, there is neither working nor planning nor knowledge nor wisdom. (NIV)Not even Solomon knew where the spirit or breath went after death:ECCLESIASTES 3:19-21 19 Man's fate is like that of the animals; the same fate awaits them both: As one dies, so dies the other. All have the same breath; man has no advantage over the animal. Everything is meaningless. 20 All go to the same place; all come from dust, and to dust all return. 21 Who knows if the spirit of man rises upward and if the spirit of the animal goes down into the earth?"

@bardmuclichyThis was not specifically an anti-Christian posting insofar as it was an anti-religious posting. Religion is vile; a corruption of spirit and mindless doctrine. It furthers mankind in no meaningful way and lessens learning, knowledge, and most importantly humanity.
The point is though that monotheistic religious devotees all do actually have something in common, a stereotype, their belief in their particular god. It is this belief that causes the retardation of humanity.
@nigh7daggerI understand why some people have dugg you down; I'm sure it's just an expression of disagreement with your argued points. I disagree with all of them, as well, as far as they relate to my own personal belief system. But I wanted to applaud you for making clear, personally-honest arguments on each point, and doing so in a civil manner. I think anyone who reads them knows where you're coming from, and you did it all without a mountain of ad hominem, which I think many diggers, regardless of which side of an argument they're on, are guilty of. BTW, I've read through the entire New Testament, and it was fascinating, especially as an American, but I don't, and couldn't at this point ever accept Jesus as my savior, so I guess I'll be waving a friendly greeting up to you from the fiery pit. Don't worry, I'm okay with that; all my best friends will be there with me. ;)
