filmforce.ign.com — Seeing as how this week marks the 29th anniversary of the death of Elvis Presley, as well as Madonna's 48th birthday, IGN decided to spotlight the Top Ten Rock Movies. The movies selected for this list are not concert films or documentaries but rather narrative films about rock and roll.

I totally agree This is a complete travesty that "The Wall" did not make it let alone be in the top 5. These people who put this together are obviously lame!!! I also agree that DIG! should have been there, one of the best rockumentarys I've seen. Plus it's got a cool name. How about Quadrophenia? It's about mods and ROCKERS! Ok that might be pushing it, but it's another great Rock Opera by The Who.No digg!

Spinal Tap should have been #1. Kate Hudson was so overrated in Almost Famous. Although it was a good film, she was the worst thing about it.Truth or Dare should have been on the list though, since he does mention Madonna at the beginning of the article.

24 Hour should have been up there big time. I was in a theatre seeing it and everyone was dancing around during the end credits. The cast is a dead ringer for their real life counterpart especially creepy Sean Harris as Ian Curtis. Speaking of dancing... what about Rocky Horror?

I almost expected School of Rock to be listed.

Some the list has missed out on.....Detroit Rock CitySchool of Rock!!!!Tenacious D: The Pick of Destiny!!!!The Boat That Rocked - Great underrated movie That Thing You DoBackbeatRock Star - this can't not be on a movie listing rock and roll movies! Almost Famous Then again mainstream media can't be expected to know Rock and Roll as well as Rock and Rollers do. And yes........I'm a narcissist. But I think the list we did rocks much much harder.....and has a better selection.......in all due modesty :p http://backdoormag.com/the-top-10-rock-n-roll-movi ...
