Yes, I am a professional dog trainer and breeder. And idiots like you are why millions of pets are euthanized each year. And I do know your dog personally. I've seen idiots like you do the exact same ignorant mistakes over 40 times. You're an ignorant and irresponsible dog owner.
I can't tell if that blog is a farce or serious... I want to hope that it's satirical in nature to make a point, but if it is, it's extremely scary that there are people like that out in the world.
My bulldog has only attempted to chew up the brick on the fireplace and the window sill. He has successfully ripped up a comforter I got from his previous owner, so I don't really care. He's a bit of a handful but constant training has helped and he'll grow up to be a good well balanced dog. Also, can I just say that having a dog is awesome to meet people and he's constantly getting comments about how good looking he is. Total chick magnet.
All I know is that our male Aussie destroys when he is bored. The female just goes along with it just because. . .I guess a dog inside a house all day long, with so many nice things to chew on, has to get into some trouble. If ours get in trouble in a backyard, a Great Dane inside a house, well, poor owner! The Chihuahua was a surprise.

My Boxers never destroy anything. Of course they have a yard to play in and let loose that destructive energy there.

No matter the breed, (mine was a Great Pyrenees) NEVER, NEVER, NEVER put candy canes or anything edible on a Christmas tree. (Think hurricane...)
