desultory.rad.wtf. the other day there was an article on digg about some guy that was close to ground zero on 9/11/2001. The crux of the article was that he was wearing a backpack that day, and that it was covered in filth and debris from that day. instead of throwing it away, he sealed it in a plastic bag to prerserve it. recently he had it examined to see what sort of toxins might have been present in the debris that was all over the bag. it turned out to be nothing but concrete and drywall dust, among other things that were basically harmless.it took him three pages to tell the story. every paragraph was overwrought, every word searched with a thesaurus.this guy on OMGNINTENDO writes like that. less is sometimes more, guys, and you don't need to write a dissertation full of awesome adverbs and adjectives to get a point across. journalism majors often think that writing in that way makes them seem professional. it doesn't. it makes you seem amateurish, and like you are just trying too damn hard.
That level was a bitch. I remember the first time I got through it, it took me forever to carefully traverse the entire level. As I finally pass the last hazard, and am sprinting past the giant words spelled out in coins, I run out of time and die 2 or 3 seconds from the end of the level.
That is what I expected ... I don't think I made it sound like I expected anything else. I was only stating that it would be nice to see one based off of any publisher.
