You never really addressed my points saqer..So you disagree that humans of different cultures still have the same brain?Do you really think we are very physically different from people of 1400 years ago, considering this time is less than 1% of modern human evolution?Yes people had to marry young 1400 years ago - the life expectancy was some 20-30 years - doesn't change my position, doesn't mean they had fully developed. The age discrepancy is appalling (taken advantage of much?). Can you honestly say that an arcane practice from more than a millennium ago applies in any way to now, especially when we have the luxury of full development preceding some 2/3 of the average life expectancy?

Let me reword this for you. It's straw man to accuse people of any wrongdoing seeing that you don't know context, intent, condition and perception. I didn't say anything against the science I just think it's being used out of context. It's still a false premise for use in this argument. You can't just pick an initial correct statement and use it to make a false conclusion. Here, take this example in basic logic, "All Grocery Stores sell food, therefore all grocery stores sell pomegranate". I'm starting to think you actually don't know how to argue. Humans are fundamentally the same? That's such an ambiguous statement, and it only really encapsulates the biological aspect, Chromosomes, DNA/RNA, etc. We are not fundamentally the same in the ways we mature. Otherwise everyone would age the same, everyone would speak the same language and think similarly. This is something you persist in ignoring and overlooking. People are controlled? What? That makes no sense and it's another straw man. You can't accuse these people of being controlled when you have no idea of what's happening. Have you interviewed these people who practice early marriage? Have you asked them if they think they're being controlled or not and what their perceptions are of control? Have you witnessed the whole process of the proposal, the marriage contract, and followed up? Control is such an overstatement seeing you have no idea what is it symbolizes or entails in differing cultures. Again, you fail to acknowledge the correct marriage contracts which are drawn up with consent from both sides. If you think children are stupid and shouldn't be granted a basic right of making their own decision you're the one who's in the business of control. Besides, we're not talking about early marriage in the US or in the West. Right now the focus is on Saudi citizens who grew up there.It's only perverse because you perceive it so. I can put a spin on almost anything and present it in negative light. Your mind and your experiences have been exposed to such disgusting thought processes. You watch such shows like "how to catch a predator" and in your eyes you see anything involving an older person and younger person as disgusting. You automatically think along the lines of molestation, abuse, rape because the social context of early girls being involved in sexual activity in this country and the west at large usually involves mal-intent, exploitation, secrecy and overall criminal behavior. Yet, ironically, there's a double standard when a sexually active child does it for sexual exploration, experimentation and "safe carnal sex". Ultimately, I have no doubt in my mind you possess this superiority complex where you think people of other cultures are somehow inferior based their customs. Right there is a form of bigotry and can mutate into racism in some instances. I'm not calling you a racist but you should really reevaluate your stance on customs and norms in other cultures. Just because you drive, just because you can roll up to a fast food joint, just because you can send an email in an instant, use a phone, marry at the so called "age of reason", doesn't make you better than anyone else. You know it's easy to throw around such remarks in the latter part of your statement but you lack the maturity to see such an issue in objective light. Yes....based on our society it is wrong, but in theirs it is not. Hence what Ethnocentric thinking is. Don't get me wrong, I hope their culture starts moving forward and making step to prevent this activity. But sitting here in shock over their activities is pretty pointless. Probably makes you feel better for living in a more progressive society.And yet the Romans were absolutely fine with gays. Crazy times.
