Heh. I've just made the happy discovery that Zim (referenced in this blog entry) is a remarkably handy little app. Try this for some very near-nirvana self-organizational happiness if you've got a Linux/Unix box somewhere that you can talk to over the network:Zim + Subversion + SSH port forwarding + VNCWhat does that get you? A free-form easy-to-use Wiki editor, with built-in (well, plugged-in, technically) version control, that uses plain text files (that can be edited anywhere by any editor) and a dead-simple markup syntax, that you can access anywhere that can run SSH (for tunneling) and VNC (for the GUI), and whose plain data files can *also* be accessed anywhere you can do a SVN checkout. Since Zim also runs on Win32, even the Windows users aren't missing out.The version control bit means you don't ever lose notes/entries even if you accidentally delete them so long as you commit your changes every time you finish working with the tool. It's much more useful than you might expect it to be.
I don't know why people think that women and Linux can't be on the same page.My girlfriend loves ubuntu ;)I am sure that those people who doubted you are a woman are just hoping that more women would participate in the open source movement, and they mean no harm.
Thanks balazsbela. It's not that they doubt that I am a woman, it's sexism that makes some people thing that women are idiot. And in addition, Ubuntu is the easiest Linux, anyone that can use a PC can use it.

I'm getting sick of Ubuntu posts implying that things are only available in *buntu. At some point there should be a rule that *buntu can't be in the title of any posting unless it can be proven that the post is specific to *buntu and *buntu only.http://game.paramegsoft.com/http://www.paramegsoft.com/forum/
