Battle For WesnothNice game for those turned based players. Linux needs a REAL Time game (RTS) - Age of Empires III rocks this games ass. Only fun if you like playing in turns. For any "hardcore" RTS player, you might as well run starcraft under Whine (even if dated).NexiuzGeneric 3d shooter. Nothing compared to HF, Quake or UT series.America's Armyuh, don't count "Goverment Propaganda" as one of your greatest gaming achievements please. Thanks. (seriously, even "Mac gamers" aren't this lame).Enemy Territory: Quake WarsYAY! f**k yea. Anything of the "Quake" series (quake, doom, wolf, etc) rock on the Linux (or any other OS)TremulousInsert another "generic 3d shooter"Tux RacerReally fun game. The graphics suck balls though.World Of PadmanLooks intrestingVendettaLooks intresting

Rhino, Tremulous is one of the furthest things from "generic FPS" I've ever played. If you're interested in inventive gameplay that is very dependent on strategy almost as much as on tactics/bunnyhopping skills, Tremulous is the kind of game for you. Doesn't look very impressive, though. The "review" missed the fact that not only are there two sides which are completely different, but the game is a hybrid RTS/FPS, in that both sides have the ability to build buildings/structures which can help them win by providing equipment, healing, more spawn points, defense, etc: and both sides earn credits/evolves to buy themselves new equipment/evolve into better creatures. And there are 3 "stages", cause teams unlock new structures and units based on kills, and how the teams play each other depends on what stage they're in.I usually really hate FPSes, to tell the truth. Especially of a deathmatch variety. But I really like Tremulous. So, you know, 5 stars, I highly recommend it.

I do see where you are coming from, but not everyone who uses Linux is a zealot or doing it for idealogical reasons.I use it because my Windows installs were so unstable on my hardware it was unbearable. So I tried something else, which worked. I can still play Urban Terror (natively) and do everything else I need except play poker. Tbh I was crap so it's probably for the best :D
