@rentonThen who's choice is it then exactly? What the hell are you saying? Its the platform holders responsibility to promote their platforms. That's how the business works you make your money on the software. They get a cut of every third party game sold.Third party software is a must. Without it the Wii will be another Gamecube. Third party games pretty much made the PS2 the success it was.Love the Wii. Hate the Nintendo cult member fanboys.
It's really funny seeing people trying to defend Wii before even reading the 7th mistake. While Wii is doing great right now but what if what he said is true down the road? I bet even then these diehard Wii fanboys will still defend it.
I've read the article but the Wii fanboy's are focusing solely on the Wii and ignoring the rest of the article. If people are able to get past their rabid fanboism and actually fully read the OTHER 6 points the guy has a point. I'm old enough to remember all of this stuff and the points are spot on. Screwing over 3rd parties with inflated prices and witholding parts of the API are what caused Nintendo's downfall. Why in the world would you withold parts of your API from 3rd party developers. Even Microsoft doesn't do that!
There is not one title in its lineup that truly showcase's the power of the Wii and its technology. I grew up playing NES, SNES and N64. But I was never a Nintendo fan. There's nothing from Nintendo that interests me --- with the exception of the DS Lite. The games released on that little handheld are definitely taking advantage of its dual screens and its touch screen. Take Elite Beat Agents --- it uses the touch screen for its gameplay and it works. Cooking Mama is another game that uses the touch screen to truly immerse the player into the game. And let's not forget about Nintendogs. I'm not a big fan of it, but it does showcase the potential that the DS has.On the other hand, there are no such games on Wii. When Nintendo and company decide to make a game that truly takes advantage of the innovative technology that they have at hand, then I'll be sold. But until then, I'll stick with Sony.
The point he is making is how much *market share* Nintendo lost. They went from having a near monopoly to having a minority of the market in a single console.
I hate the PS controller with a passion, i cant believe that they still have that horribly uncomfortable and squashed up pile of crap for the 3rd time in a row and people still claim its some kind of perfect design. Its just too small, i cant hold it at all. When i hold it and relax my fingers my 2 thumbs go way beyond where the actual buttons are, im required to squash them up to reach lower buttons. My index fingers go way over where the shoulder buttons are. I can only wrap 2 fingers around the handles and i have to put my index and middle up on the L and R buttons, Which i hate doing because i don't need 4 fingers to operate 4 buttons, 2 can do it fine and more comfortably. Even doing this, the analogs are hampering my ability to hold onto the thing as it limits my finger space. As for the N64 controller, i fail to see how anybody can have a problem other then the analog being a bit rough and stiff. The controller fits my hands perfectly, its 1 of the most comfortable controllers i have ever picked up. My thumbs rest on the d-pad, right buttons and analog perfectly. The 6 right buttons are perfectly laid out, what on earth is wrong with having 6 buttons instead of 4? How is this confusing to anybody? Most games made excellent usage of the C area. Firstly is a lot easier to have 4 directions then more letters or stupid symbols. I mean can anybody honestly say it didn't take them a little while to remember which 1 was the square? But outright 6 is better then 4, Just look at a game like No Mercy. This game was so easy to get a hang of, each button had a function. What happened to the wrestling games on Gamecube? Stupid button combinations to pull stuff off. This is reflected in my PC gaming. I had to buy a controller with 6 buttons laid out the same way. Its just so much easier. As for the middle handle, why not? Its so comfortable, works great with FPS, the Z is like a trigger on a gun. Anybody who refuses to hold it and then tries to stretch for the analog while holding the left is a moron. Why complain when you refuse to do things right. I used to be a Playstation fanboy when i was young and immature. But when i tried 64 round my mates house and got over the controller feeling different, within 2-3 days of playing i had bought 1.
I said it many times before. If more games aren't made you're gonna see half of those 5 million (and counting) wiis out on a garage sale. Right now, (with the exception of Twilight) the wii is only fun if you have multiple people in the same room as you playing together. Half the fun is watching people wave the remote around! More games or the wii dies.

If anyone else ever used this position, I wouldn't know.

with how much you pay, it should last that long.
