techeblog.com— In the future you may never have to wash dishes, have windows made of transparent concrete, and even be able to wear a partial invisibility cloak. Also, vote for your favorite!

The fake part is where they claim to be "bending" light around the cloak. In other words, the light (or images) you see coming from the cloak did not originate from behind the cloak. That light was projected onto the cloak from the same direction as the observer.
"uh, you still have to wash those dishes in the dishmaker, because it needs to start with a clean disc of plastic each time."He specifically said you don't have to clean it. Either he failed to explain how that works or he hasn't implemented it yet. Nonetheless, it sounds like he plans to account for it so this is the coolest technology I've seen on that page. You can scale such a device up into a machine that you just throw your dirty dish in to a bucket, and it churns out a brand new clean dish in a short time based on the button you pressed.
I believe the "bone2" video they've posted on their site should show that this is a complete fake. Firstly, the device is supposed to be a cloaking device, not a paper x-ray machine. Further, the paper flutters, and the view of the bones is relatively unchanged, going against the principles of the supposed cloaking device. Also, as the subject raises and lowers the paper, no bones in the shoulder region show any signs of movement. Finally, the skeletal structure in the video also appears quite computer generated, though the subject in the video could very well have been rendered at conception.Link to "bone2" video: http://projects.star.t.u-tokyo.ac.jp/projects/MEDIA/xv/images/bone2.mpg
What's the hype about that touchscreen "omg!!1 you can actually hear a response from the units when i tell them to attack here"OR'LY!? First of all, he didn't make that game and second, all games since 1991 has had that feature. And voicerecognition, wow...my OS also has that.Ok, the screen is cool but why is he braving about wc3 and google earth like he made them himself.
I've seen and read about these here and there, and I loved the stealth suit so much that I downloaded the video of it a couple years ago. I wish there was new stuff, but this stuff is still really cool. The stealth suit hasn't reached its potential yet, but I would like to put on the strength enhancing suit right now.

Also, just watched their last vid, there's no way they're NOT using green screen techniques, you can see green on the inside of the "transparency coat" to the bottom right of the knot in his tie at the 8 second mark in this vid: http://projects.star.t.u-tokyo.ac.jp/projects/MEDIA/xv/images/oc-wired.mpg

They all look pretty cool, except for the dishmaker...
