Arcanum was no Diablo clone. I wish it did better, but Sierra nuked it by forcing real-time combat in.On a much happier note: Leon Boyarsky, the man behind Arcanum is now the Lead World Designer for Diablo III
I'm surprised to find so many people that don't realise you can hold your mouse button down for every task. Click once and drag it around to move. Click once and hold down til an enemy is dead to attack. If you're a caster and don't even need to select enemies you can just about play the whole game by just holding down the mouse button.

NOX from Westwood Studios should be on the list! Great game and I remember being very impressed by the realtime POV system it had.http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=R8ub7msfpnI&feature ...

I bet they're kicking themselves now that they left the most successful company in the industry to make a game that totally tanked.

I loved Nox... The multiplayer death matches were fun as hell.

can you really call it a clone when it was developed by the same people that made fallout?
