I've seriously been feeling addicted to Digg recently. I spend too much time and stay up too late browsing it, and I have a hard time stopping. I'm considering blocking it from my router to help quit cold turkey. What makes it so addictive? My best theory is that it basically always tells me what I want to hear. As long as you agree with other average diggers on what's cool/interesting/important, you never need to be exposed to different opinions or boring news. I imagine that if I had different political views, I'd watch Fox news just as much. The part the bothers me the most is that I spend so much time reading comments. Why on earth do I about what everyone else has to say? I haven't really gotten hooked on making comments yet, so maybe it's a bad idea to post this in case I get hooked on that too!Regardless of why it works, it works on me and it sucks.

some poor digger illustrates yet another sign. he makes a clay digg man, adds to flickr and posts on digg at http://www.digg.com/design/Clay_Digg_Man. And goes around with a handle with 'beg' in it. The lengths some will go to get noticed!
