livescience.com — The Earth was built to last. It is a 4,550,000,000-year-old, 5,973,600,000,000,000,000,000-tonne ball of iron. It has taken more devastating asteroid hits in its lifetime than you've had hot dinners, and lo, it still orbits merrily. So my first piece of advice to you, dear would-be Earth-destroyer, is: do not think this will be easy.

@kurtu5 Duplicitous??? If I believe in a creator and you believe in spontaneous appearance of all the matter in the universe (because you have no evidence of where it may have come from), which one of us is not starting from a faith based presupposition? You make my point by thinking that what little evidence you have proves all your suppositions. I never indicated that I know anything about what I cannot prove. Only that I believe. It is all a matter of application. We all put faith in things we hope are true, but don't really know are true. That is the nature of it whether you want to admit it or not. Unless you are, of course, pompous and arrogant beyond reason. Please read what someone says and do not assume you KNOW everything they believe from your presuppositions about them.

Everybody knows all you need is an Illudium PU-36 Explosive Space Modulator to generate a big earth-shattering ka-boom.

Stupid humans. Now all hostile aliens out there (who might be monitoring the internet) just got 10 ideas of how to destroy our planet...from a human! Duh! hahahahaha

You say "Please read what someone says and do not assume you KNOW everything they believe from your presuppositions about them."Um no, I can presuppose about you. You claim to be a creationist. I have no idea where the universe came from, the tenant of creationism is that god did it, so you claim total knowledge here. Sorry but thats the truth. Here is the difference between my epistemology and yours. Its a post I crafted in response to yet another creationist who claimed total knowledge.---@SpectralSounds dodges with "So let me get this straight. You believe that the entire universe came from an explosion of nothingness? What was here before the big bang?..."Nice try. Let me diagram you vs science. Why are we here.SCIENCE:We think tool use and language made us humanWe think humans evolved from other primatesWe think primates evolved from a tree climbing, rat like creature(ramapithicid, spelling is wrong.)We think mammals evolved from ...etc... etcWe think multicellular creatures evolved from unicellular creatures. We are not quite sure how unicellular organisms came about and this is a very interesting line of inquiry; there are many interesting theories. We think some of the building blocks of unicellular organisms can easily form spontaneously given the right planetary conditions. We think the heavy elements in planets formed from exploding stars. We think planets form around stars. We think stars form in galaxiesWe think galaxies and their constituent stars formed out of a non-uniformly distributed gas of light elements. We think this gas came from a super hot super dense soup of elementary particles as they expanded away from each other, cooled and "condensed" into matter as we typically know it.We think this super hot dense mass of stuff came from a period in time where it was all compressed into either a really small volume or a singularity. We think that the question of what came before and what is "outside" is very interesting and are forming ideas about what those conditions might be like. This also is a very interesting form of inquiry.YOU:NOTE: Religious leaders can use the following trump card any where in the chain of scientific thinking above. We think GOD created (the monkeys, the planets, the galaxies, or whatever above step ) and that (so and so) is his prophet. We choose to never ask what came before GOD, we refuse. So you asking what came before the big bang is typical cheap crap. What came before god smartass?
