If you really want to "Stop Dashboard" why not just go into activity moniter and kill it there?

Radar In Motion 2.5 by Kamal Aboul-Hosn. She has made a widget that shows the weather radar images very compactly and concisely. I run to this Widget whenever the sirens go off (which is often in the Midwest). It gives me three view, each closer than the previous one, of the weather headed my way. Freeware but I think she does take donations. Go to VersionTracker and search 'weather radar'

Well, yeah, but that doesn't work in every application. Plus, what if you want to look up a word? Personally, I find the Dictionary app to be the most useful.

Wow, could someone teach engadget how to resample and resize images before using them as thumbnails?

Seriously? You would need to have a tab open to track packages? Why?!!! Why would you need to check the status more than twice a day?
