networkworld.com — Over the years, Microsoft has had some pretty harsh words (and actions) for the open source community in general and for Linux in particular. "if my main product was inferior to a free one."Call me a f**king troll, but I always have to laugh at statements like these. I have tried various flavors of Linux for years. The latest, Ubuntu 7.04 has marked improvements but try setting a screensaver. Merely opening the setting box crashed my box. Try putting the box in "hibernate" or "standby" and see what happens. Given the vast documentation of this problem, I guessing for most, they will have to do a forced shut down. Listening to music is like going back in time and listening to a record player from 1910. Again, Given the mountain of documentation of this problem (which actually got worse with Ubuntu 7.04) this is a common problem.Linux in general has come a long way for sure, but it is s**t like the above that makes me laugh at the "superior" argument. Usually when one loses functionality, that is called inferior./rant
