The Seiko e-Paper watch (not one of the top 10, but linked on the page), looks terrible to wear! It looks more like a rigid bracelet than a flexable watch. I'm pretty sure all the watches on that page are gigantic on your wrist. I'm a geek, but I long ago outgrew the phase of wearing a 3lb watch/TV/computer/personal organizer on my wrist. As watches go, simplicity is beauty. I now wear a simple steel timex watch, looks kinda like something from swiss army (but much less expensive). Tells me the time, and even the date, without any extra crap, lasts for years on a battery, and isn't so big that I have to take it off to get my coat on.
Indeed. If I were willing to spend more than $15 on a watch (yeah, yeah, I'm a cheapskate), that'd be the one I'd get. I've wanted to get a binary watch for a while, I just can't bring myself to spend $70 on a watch when I go through them the way I do (and yes, I realize that they'd probably last longer if I actually spent something on them).
Ok - I'm a geek watch junkie - I have the Equalizer and 4 other watches available thru Tokyoflash.com. They include the Fusion, the 5-9-12, the PIMP Pleasure Seeker (New), and the PIMP Trip the Light Fantastic. BTW, I could do without some of those names, but the watches have given everyone that sees them a positive smile or comment. And BTW, no plug for Tokyoflash, but their service is great. My 5-9-12 had a problem after about 8 months - I mailed it back and a later week it was returned with great email followthru.

Just get a Fossil. I think most of us can agree that geeks find them attractive also.

The best Geek Watch is one that has the ultimate WiFi connection. The Breitling Emergency Mission has a 121.5mhz transmitter built in to call for help from anywhere in the world. So if you are one of the people on the island in LOST, just activate the watch and wait for the US Navy to show up. Buyers do have to sign a contract that they accept responsibility for all charges involved in your rescue. http://www.luxist.com/2005/08/09/breitling-emergency-43mm-chronograph-with-distress-transmitter/
