But... there is a D20. It's a helluva nice camera too, but since it's not even for sale... I guess that's not what he had in mind.

Actually the Rebel XT is *NOT* a pro-sumer camera. It is squarely a consumer camera. Canon's pro-sumer cameras are the 5D, 10D, 20D, 30D etc. Their pro bodies are the 1DMarks.....

I am a pro-photographer with my main cameras being a Nikon F5 for film and Nikon D200 for digital - I currently choose Nikon because they produce fabulous optics which are perhaps the single most important element in a photogs armoury.D200 work on flickr here - http://www.flickr.com/photos/61432105@N00/ -

also olympus cameras are terrible, same with kodak. sony is good but has an expected high price for most of its cameras (and everything else they make for that matter).

Jim--while consumers buy the 350D a lot, it is still a very capable camera--its image quality is identical to the 20D and 30D you mentioned.

Nice list; no big surprises but still interesting. Dugg.I have a Powershot G3 that has served me well, but I am really feeling the itch to move up to something better. I want an EOS-30D but can't afford it right now. It just looks like such a great camera though.I'm curious to know what 30D owners use for lenses. The G3 package I bought came with kit lenses, but I'll never do that again. The wide-angle lens especially sucks; it blurs everything. I'm looking at either Canon or Tamron lenses for the 30D; they look like quality. Any input from 30D users?

"The Yahoo! Shopping Blog just released an article that gives you a list of the top 10 used cameras on Flickr"And this is exactly why online databases are dangerous.

Surely, this whole thing is based around the number of pictures taken with each camera and uploaded to Flickr. Thus even though digital SLRs don't make up the majority of digital cameras out there - people using them to take a vast number of photos will skew the results. And people with digital SLRs are likely to take more photos...

Surprised Pentax didn't make the list...
