Except that most of the small cities that are on this list are really just suburbs of larger cities. I think that kind of takes away from it's validity as it's pretty obvious your number of movie theaters, bars, etc. within 30 miles is going to be a lot higher being nestled next to a large city. This list would mean more to me if all those cities stood by themselves, like Fargo or Des Moines.

I grew up in Irvine and went to UCI, I agree with his comments 100%. It's boring and sterile. They refer to Irvine as "the bubble" and I believe right now it's ranked the safest city in America.
