I usually call one of my friends house who has a younger daughter and try to catch one of the parents when I know the daughter is not home and say , "Can you please tell Jennifer here results from Planned Parenthood are back and we need to speak with her URGENTLY." Now that is a April Fools
A famous april fools prank here where I live was at the CMU (then the CMBC) campus where the resident prankster of student residence had actually gone home for a week. While he was gone, others from the university drove to Home Depot and purchased drywall, drywall compound, tape, primer and paid and proceeded to pull the molding off of his door, drywall over the door opening, finnish taping the seams, primed and then color matched the exisiting wall paint. It looked as if the door never existed at all...Very funny...
On April 1, 2005, Volume One printed a short blurb saying Bruce Willis and Jessica Alba would be making an appearance at Oakwood Mall in Eau Claire for the opening of the movie "Sin City." Once the rumor hit the streets, it didn't take long before there was live TV coverage, a front-page newspaper story, and all sorts of angry fans, phone calls, and radio show chatter.
