Too close for comfort IMO. I like having my space, but thats just me. I live in rural USA so I'm spoiled with wide open spaces. However, this may be a good solution for Japan or some large cities. It certaintly won't be a reality in the USA for a long, long, long time.

This seems like something out of a Japanese cartoon and being of a young generation I think it looks awesome. I would love to own some property in a sky city someday. Maybe not a place to retire, but certainly to live the best of modern life.It really looks like the wave of the future for already established cities; New York, Tokyo, Moscow, Paris.

wow, after reading the 1st 30+ comments, amazing, i had to create an account just to say this to you people. here i am, a regular US citizen of ethenicity, born and raised in NY, english was my 1st language, i've had my share of racism gorwing up, and i am shocked at how many Bigots there are. You are all bashing on Japan's goal to build a structure that can help support their own citizen, You who are not even from their Lands, know nothing of their strifes, You all dare to pass judgment on their ideas like you are better then them? Who in the hell gave you the rights to think you are better then them? you complain about how their history was not a very bright one, ok... that has absolutely nothing to do with what they are doing here. And if you are going to s**t about their pass, lets have a little look at OUR PAST AND PRESENT, remember WWII? yes, we all know about Pearl Harbor, it was only the biggest 3hour waste of my life... hahaha, anyways, yes their old gov. started s**t with us and we defended ourselves, thats normal, but what about when we dropped some of those A-BOMBS on their NON MILITARY INNOCENT WOMEN & CHILDREN FILLED Cities? Oh yeah... japan's history was pretty messed up, but then again, so was EVERYONE Else's, but the only 1 that was more trigger happy then all of them, was Ours, then either Russia or Germany followed by all the waring countries in Africa. But NOOOO we don't give a s**t about their past, because they're not becoming the world's NEW NUMBER 1 technogically advanced Country. Thats right you high horsed fossils, we're not as Great as we once were, and why? Lets see... after the War, and demilitarism of Japan, they focused their efforts on creating a better country, one that doesn't involve Killing/Bullying Weaker countries. They created the best Cars, Computers, Gaming Systems (PS3 anyone?) and just about everything else (oh yes... and much more attractive women, unlike the chubby ones you see all over the place stuffing their pork bellyed faces in Mcdonalds)You complain, It's just gonna be the number 1 target for terrorists, well, lets see what makes a terrorist, you send your armies into someone else's country, you kill their peoples, put up your OWN TYPE OF GOVERNMENT and leave right away, expecting them to follow your rules just cuz u say so, you spit on their beliefs and give them WMD's.... so you have a large faction of down troddent, fully armed men, who has no jobs or means to support their families, and no reason to live.... then you send in your armies and fleets to wipe out their militia to STEAL the only thing worth any capitol (OIL ANYONE?) and expect them to take that lying down?
