wired.com — A blogger who stumbled across a vulnerability in more than 65,000 Time Warner customer routers says the routers are still vulnerable to remote attack despite claims by the company last week that it patched the routers. But according to Chen, the routers have not been fixed as of today.

Time Warner doesn't fix their routers. They mostly use Netgear routers that come with a firmware that's only SLIGHTLY modified from Netgear's stock firmware. TWC doesn't push out any updates of their own.Seriously, regardless of what ISP you use, go buy your own router. You will be 100x safer with it than whatever your ISP provides.

true, but TW puts their own "tweaked" firmware on said routers.
