eirikso.com — For all of 2005 I have been taking a picture out of our living room window at random intervals. Now I have finished a video that runs through one year outside our window. All of it in about one and a half minute.

In the post with the video I have tried to explain how I did it. Any further questions from people that would like to start something similar for 2006 will be answered through comments in that post. :-)

I like the TrendMap on the site also, you can get a birdseye of his traffic today.....interesting, and nice work on the pics...... Normal course of the day, wake up around noon, go pee...., click the shutter button on the tripod,...go back to bed...... I digg it.

It looks cool but it is very cold here. I would love to live a place without the cold Norwegian winter.

a-ha's video for the song "Lifelines" (from their 2002 album; yes, they're the ones with "Take on Me") features segments from the short film "Året gjennom Børfjord" from 1991, known in English as "A Year Along the Abandonded Road", which is a more advanced version of the same idea, with the camera moving through the landscape as the seasons change. Very, very cool.
