youtube.com — Democrat Tim Ryan unleashes an absolutely scathing response to a proposed bill in U.S. Congress, aimed directly at the entire Bush administration. This video is a must-see, straight from the House floor in the United States of America. Hilarity ensues.

@right75Living in Chicago, it's funny - there are basically two political machines left in the US - Chicago and New Orleans - what do they have in common? Democrats. Now let's look at hurricane Katrina - Mississippi and Alabama were hit just as hard as New Orleans and you don't see them complaining about not having enough government handouts to recover. Why? Because they have republican governors that took control, formulated a state-wide recovery plan, and put things into action. Ray Nagin's plan? Let the 76 parishes of New Orleans formulate their own plan and then try to integrate those individual plans into one "global" plan. Great move - next time just have a pot luck dinner and have everybody bring their favorite dish - then thrown them all into on big pot, stir them together and enjoy!

@sinisterkungfu Nobody on the "right" has presented a single argument in this thread that was not completely laughable, nevermind valid in any way.You are a left wing clown. No position - No point - No supporting evidence - No argument - just a silly opinion statement. Who cares what you think is "laughable" or "valid in any way" (what a silly statement) ? Why don't you explain how an argument is laughable - rather than making these silly, dishonest proclamations. You look like a complete fool on a debate forum when you claim all arguments from a group of people are laughable and invalid without presenting a single example. This is just a variation of the game "tell a lie enough and some fool will believe it" - you are just spewing insults. Why Democrats/Lefties lie so much - it is like a disease.

@bemenaker "And for all of you neo-cons out there taht hate the liberals so much, ponder this:Jesus was a social activist, that IS a liberal."Sorry to rain on your "atheist talking about religion" parade but:Social Activism does not equal liberal - there have been just as many conservative social activists as liberal. Let me help you out:Liberals want change Conservative want less change Liberals want to change/modify/tweek our system Conservatives think we should remain true to the founding preciplesJesus was a social activist - his focus though was not this worldJesus was very conservative when it came to the laws and profits Jesus was socialist as Christianity is socialist but his teaching was pretty darn conservative.

That's true. You tried to pull out (actually, you even announced it) but then you backed off. Must have been the weather playing tricks with the size of your balls.

This is amusing and indeed this stuff does go on all the time. Unfortunately, as in this case, no one else is in chamber. Congressmen can stay after session or come by at all hours of the night to "read into" the public record (register) anything they want. The only people clapping in the video are his staff and maybe another congressman or two waiting their turn. Robert Byrd was a master at this. He would appear to be speaking to a full Senate chamber and when the camera pulled back there would be no one there. Makes for good stock footage at election time.

Most of you that post here wave your party flag like it is some sort of banner to be proud of.The best highlights of this thread are:The person who compared abortion to war deaths. Yeah that's apples to apples in the morality market! No matter what side of the isle your on, they are not comparable. The guy adamantly opposing the current unemployment data and when he gets the proof he claims we were better off with higher unemployment. The guy giving proof and the guy who states an widely accepted economic fact that a certain percentage of unemployment is considered healthy for the economy get dugg down. The folks saying Ryan for president when you have probably no clue about his voting record which is what is more important, not some speech that was prepared for him to say by an intern. The fact that anyone who presents facts gets dug down if they go against the lopsided majority on digg....there needs to be a digg etiquette class before getting a digg account. Repeat this to yourself.....Digg down asshats, not facts.....asshats, not facts....Tune out from Air America and Rush Limbaugh, they are not making you any more intelligent. Transcend your party feces throwing and search for the facts not opinions. Politicians lie, misrepresent, and twist truth on both sides of the isle, stop being a useful idiot by towing the party line, regardless of party affiliation.Tune in and own the truth....good or bad. Here is a fact: This will get dugg down....like Jack said, "you can't handle the truth"

@vinny "I've been reading your posts and basically you keep repeating the same things:1. Clinton lied so anything Bush has done is okay"Wrong. I expose the double-standard of the Moonbats by pointing out what their beloved Bill Clinton did.2. Unless Bush has been convicted of lying he hasn't liedWrong. You are not doing so good. Nobody has present an example of a time in which Bush lied. The Moonbats just bark "Bush lied" "Bush lied" "Bush is evil". My point is evidence - empty accusations are pointless. There is no evidence that Bush has lied about anything - all we have is the barking of Moonbats"I don't care about #1"Good think because you are wrong"As for #2, you can play this out like a lawyer if that makes you feel better about supporting Bush"First off, I never said I supported Bush"but it's very clear that Bush and his administration have made statements that have been proven false."That is not a lie - Bill Clinton lied - knowing full well he was having sex with employees during business hours and he was on trial for trying to have sex with an employee during business hours and that would make him look real bad so he lied in court and lied on television to the American people (he didn't have to do that). Bill Clinton knew he was lying.Military Intelligence that proves not to be correct is not a lie any more than the Weatherman did not lie to me last night when he said it would rain and it did not. Get your head out of left wing extremist blogs and reason this out! "There are many examples in this forum so I won't bother repeating them here."So you can go on making up untrue statements?"My question to you is, do you actually support EVERYTHING this president has done? "I never said I supported ANYTHING this president has done (Bozo)"Are you not the least bit concerned when the President and Vice President make statements that turn out to be untrue?"Like what? Please cite one of these statements."Why do you feel compelled to defend this administration when it is clear that they, at the very least, have made some missteps?"So you think if an administration has missteps - you should stop supporting them and make up lies - whatever...

All I want to say is, Wow. I really don't think I've seen more mud slinging in one place than I've seen on this page. Almost every person who has commented on this page keeps saying "look at the facts". I'm not sure most of you know what facts really are. You just spout the same information that's been beaten to death in the media. Do your own research. Quote hard facts, not what you've heard on the news. Each party always puts their own spin on the facts. No party or party member ever tells the truth, but they don't lie either. They take facts, dissect them and re-present them to inflate the issue they want to point out. I'm not taking any body's side here, all I'm saying is think for yourself, and don't believe everything that is being spoon-fed to you by the usual sources.
