I'd say the reason they're holding titles back is so they don't blow their whole wad up front. They can make a lot more money of the s**tty versions of Ice hockey and Pinball if there's nothing better to buy for the moment.
So try something new, man! From what I understand, all the TurboGrafx16 games on there right now are solid gold. I picked up Military Madness today, and from my hour of playtime with that, I believe it.The system's been out less than a month. They know what they need to do - they need to demonstrate to people that virtual console works and give them a couple great titles and a lot of other things to try out, and hold their big hitters in reserve until they get a lull in game sales.
exactly, i've wondered this since the announcement last month myself. next week or the following week we get baseball... which there is also a version of in Wii Sports. :(
You know, everyone is sitting here and trashing this release list... I agree that Tennis is kind of a lame release, and I never played or even heard or space harrier 2 (but loved the first one.)If you are trashing military madness without even seeing it, you need to seriously give it a close look - if you like turn based strategy. If you have ever played Advance Wars, Fire Emblem, or ANY other turn based strategy, you need to give this a shot. It has some of the most simple to learn and rewarding to master gameplay out there, and has continued to be a challenge TO THIS DAY for me.
Yeah, let's compare two different services where one just emulates a few ROMs that I could find and download off the internet in about 10 minutes, or a whole new game that generally has internet play. Great comparison.
Does anyone else but me want Archon for NES + online play? It's the original NES Deathmatch (says me. I haven't checked my sources, nerds)!I've never played a more intense 2 player game than this...it's so fun, infuriating and hilarious at the same time. And that music!!! Da-nah-nah-nah-NAH-nah-NAHHHHH! And, for the record, f**k the Basilisk.

I don't own a Wii yet but is there any added functionality with these games like online play?
