well god damnit, he made Paint look wayyy too useful. now Microsoft is gonna get taken to court for anti-competitive tactics for including a professional graphics alternative with Windows.
Anyone that saw the PC evolve (which, Personal Computers used to include Macs, mind you) knows that Paint is a legacy graphics program that represents the result of a progression. I can remember back on my old (and only) Mac which ran OS 4 there was a graphics program probably slightly inferior to Paint.So yeah, really funny video and all, but back when computers crawled out of the ocean paint-like programs were the standard.
Yeah, he seemed to be out of sync with the rest of the group. They were trying to appear as if they were real people advertising their product, and he was a complete characture.
The pipes screensaver was the whole point! This is parody. Anyone who would rave about a program like paint would go nuts over a pipes screensaver. I thought it was a lovely touch.John Davis
