If they had badged it under chevy and called it a 4 door camaro or something similar that actually has no connection, all the rednecks would of bought it up in a second.
I also don't really know why. The last decade or so of Pontiacs didn't really do that well, but they were generally plastic covered pieces of crap. I test drove a number of different models. I thought the Charger was much less roomy and generally didn't handle as well. I didn't like the challenger at all when I got inside it, but then I mostly wanted a four door anyway. The new camaro wasn't out yet, and I couldn't find a dealer that had a shelby. The Audi's were nice, but too expensive, the same with the equivalent BMWs.I realize no one cares, but the G8 (and yes I realize its a rebranded Holden with a different front fascia) just felt like a great car. I've had it a year and everytime I get inside it still makes me smile.
Oh hey, I don't mind the Commodore/G8/Bathurst - it's a great car. I don't particularly like the Pontiac treatment on the front end, but it's what's underneath that makes it fun :)Unfortunately, Ford Aus have never given out our Falcon for export. It's even better, trust me. The Ford XR6 Turbo is generally regarded as the best hot sedan ever made for the price. I think it would be a great boon both to the Australian car industry and America's love for big fast sedans if our manufacturers could get a decent foothold in your market.I tend to think our Utes would do awesome over there as well. A 13-second pickup? Somebody would surely want to buy that.

I didn't claim *I* can drive it that well. Only that the car can go that fast.
