"Buying into the whole microfiber and special cleaning solution crap is like buying the footlocker brand "special" suede/roebuck cleaner for your shoes. Its a waste. Keep it simple."Take off the tinfiol hat.
After reading this, I think i'm the only person on this planet that doesn't have a 56"+, Plasma or HDTV somewhere in his house. I know this is off topic but am I the only one left that has a normal TV anymore?Back on topic, who in their right mind sprays anything directly onto anything? I dont spray windex directly onto windows. Perhaps it's my whole "Having an IQ over 45" but it makes sense to just spray onto the cloth where I control how much of the product is used on whatever i'm cleaning. However, on my LCD Monitor i normally just use a damp cloth as I don't have wee kids or thick fluids flying at the monitor. Just dust. I think that if your monitor is in a location where you need more, you need a new location.
LMAO!!! That's really sad. :) And you thought Darwinist "survival of the fittest" wouldn't taken care of this guy and his family tree. :) Okay, I admit in my youth, I used windex to polish a calculator screen and it went all cloudy on me..permanently. But I was 10! Windex + plastic = cloudy screen. I don't even use alcohol. Water and mild soap is good enough. BTW, I think he can replace the screen.
Don't feel left out. I bought a Sony 36" HDTV that's a CRT almost 5 years ago. Best purchase I've ever made. My picture is still better than most plasmas and it blows away projection and LCD screens. But it's 4:3. Doesn't matter since most of my DVDs are old TV shows like Seinfeld, Just Shoot Me, Newsradio, etc. which are all in 4:3 format anyway. You should think about getting an HDTV. Watching TV on a standard 480i definition is like seeing life with cataracts in my eyes now.

I wish we could contact the guy to help him out... I'd think maybe a hairdryer might be able to evaporate the liquid.
