239playasclub.com — I was playing around with Windows Vista, and started with an "upgrade". After that completed, the os was pretty much unusable because explorer would do nothing but crash. Something else happened though, and i had to SS to amuse the rest of you tech geeks out there.

I don't know wether to believe half of these error message screen shots. It takes one line of vbscript to make any error message you want. Here is one I made in 10 seconds: <a class="user" href="http://jive.1.vg/vista/programming/Error.jpg">http://jive.1.vg/vista/programming/Error.jpg</a>Leave Microsoft alone they are good people.

That is a good point. I never use message boxes though. I usually just change the window title or just add text somewhere, that way I remember it better when I go back to do the interface.

This happens on almost any OS when something is broken in a specific way. I've seen it on my linux machine some times. Basically, a program gets a bad return from a function or somehow thinks something is wrong, so it blindly reads the errno variable (which containst the last error code), and converts the code to a message. If the variable was not set properly to the error code, it has the "no error" or "success" value. The message will be something to the effect of "no error" or "the operation completed successfully"

This happend on my old machine all the time on Windows 98. Explorer.exe would get all messed up after a windows update and the machine would run fine for hours I would just move that box way to the right.

That's my admin password. Oh s**t. I guess my Windows box is insecure now.

This is not new with Vista as people have mentioned, but still funny. I think I still have it as a screen capture from XP somewhere.
