@Garmr"Either way, the Christian ontology could be summed up in these words: life is a long dreary wait in the lounge, longing for death to release you into heaven. This is what you believe, isn't it?"Certainly not. Read Romans 12. Read the Gospels. The "waiting room" gospel is a sham. We all have gifts and the onus is on us to use those gifts to serve each other while we are here on earth the same way Jesus did. We serve no purpose to God when we are dead.
Again, great confusion about the history of religion by a digger. I'm sorry you feel so free to comment on an area that you know so little about. The cartoon claims to criticize the Bible where the point is actually one made by papal rule. Ironically, your retort to me again points to papal declarations in Africa. That papal rule was strongly apposed by radical reformers post medieval times in response to inconsistencies with the Bible and poor logic. So your attribution of papal rule and medieval thinking to someone that just pointed out the inconsistency between papal rule and the Bible seems not to follow rational thought. I hope that in the future you can ascend to better rational thinking and less name calling when you are trying to make a point. Excuse me while I dismount.
congratulations. Pointing out this loophole has just culminated in the drafting of the New New Testament. Before Neo-Jesus delivers the gospel, however, we must wait for the revisions on Biblipedia to iron out

The Bible says exactly what the reader wants it to say. This is true of the Quran, the Tora, and that Don McLean song American Pie.

Watch this guy's videos. An atheist debunking creationist beliefs with facts:http://www.youtube.com/user/Potholer54debunkshttp://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_sD_7rxYoZYAnd his other channel:http://www.youtube.com/user/potholer54http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lN8XXaDrK4AThere's plenty of people making valid arguments against creationism. Most people don't want to go to great lengths to make them because all you have to do is observe the world a bit for yourself (or just watch the dude's videos, he has a lot).

The reality is nothing happens, but it's fun to poke at people that believe it so fervently.

Everyone wants to go to heaven, but noone wants to die ... seems to me, your own survival instinct is trying to tell you something ...
