How about just buying the f**king thing because you have enough of your own money to do so and you want one? Did your husband/wife/girlfriend/boyfriend consult with you before he/she bought that expensive dress/pair of shoes/power tool/whatever?Besides, if you have the money and want the thing your partner is going to know already. Just don't spend the grocery money on whatever it is or buy it simply to piss them off.
