youtube.com — CBS interview with Norwegian physician in Gaza. He has seen one military casualty come into the hospital. Of 2500 wounded, 50% are women and children. Doing surgery around the clock. There are injuries you do not want to see - children coming in with open abdomens, with injured legs. This is a war on the civilian population of Gaza.

Because of a few idiots, the whole lot suffers. Inhumanity at it's worst!

There have been over 8000 missiles fired into Israel over the past year. Israel has given concession after concession - they returned the bulk of the land they won in the Six Day War. They forcibly removed their own people from Gaza and razed the houses. They have agreed to cease fire after cease fire only to be fired upon and deal with suicide bombers. A constant rain of bombs into Israel, bomb shelters on every block. Knowing that Hamas & Fatah arrange for photo ops for foreign newspeople, carrying bodies around to drape over new venues, firing missiles from schools and hospital grounds. They're tired of giving and giving and getting slapped in the face and having their loved ones endure bombing after bombing. I don't blame them. Even the Palestinians are starting to point at Hamas & Fatah as the root of the problem.

I am always appalled at the zealous ignorance about this situation. Especially when it comes to the Palestinian side of this issue, or for that matter the Moslem side of any argument. Should the Palestinians just sit back and die a slow and quiet death of sanctions and starvation? Or should they, like the Jews of the Warsaw Ghetto, stand up and fight against their oppressors? And shouldn't the rest of the world at least learn to use Google and Wikipedia and do the diligence to find out the FACTS instead of reacting with an obvious emotional propagandist response, brought to you by, well, you do the home work.

muaazhusaini sez:"First of all, tell me something: are you a Jew?"No, I am a Christian."The fact remains, that at the end we'll only agree to disagree."Correct, sir. The evidence contradicts what you say. Therefore I will believe the evidence, and disregard your understandable attempt to improve the image of your ailing religion. The fanatics among you have done enough damage that PR and damage-control spin is insufficient. There needs to be a movement within the greater body of Islam to eradicate the radicals who preach and act out on hatred. But here's the thing: that hatred and radicalism can be found in any given mosque, in any given city, from London, to Tehran, to Jerusalem, to Dearborn Michigan. The sickness within Islam is not just in the radicals who blow things up. It is within the teachings of the religion according to far too many Imams for the West to ignore. I'm sure you're a fine person, as are most Muslim people. But there is an insidious, malevolent cancer at the heart of Islam. One can plainly see this with mere cursory observation.

"[I] disregard your understandable attempt to improve the image of your ailing religion." Oh by God, I'm not trying to improve anything, I'm just clearing the mirror so that you can see clearly."The fanatics among you have done enough damage," agreed. But I beleive that so has the western media, or rather allow me to say, Western media along with the Western influenced Eastern media has done a lot in the massacring Islam's theology, instead of trying to understand it.The Imam's in the mosque I go in, or Imam's of all those mosques where I've ever been to, does not preach hatred or radicalism. Instead, in the Friday prayer, do you know what they pray for? Not for the destruction of Jews or Christians, but for their guidance. The biggest example of Islam not being a religion of hate is the story when the Prophet (PBUH) conquered Makkah and announced total immunity and granted forgiveness to almost everyone even those who were really hard on him. But to this you'll say, "I'm not intrested about old times." But these are the sources of Islam. I'm an Electrical Engineer and I know that when a problem comes up, we don't analyze it by just seeing to it from different angles, we try to get to its source, then resolve it. Same goes for psycologists, physicians, and etc etc.But when it comes to Islam, people say it very proudly, like they are stating an IEEE standard that "We judge Islam by the Muslims of today." So, if you are a wise person go for the source. At the end I'd just like to point out one thing, Why is Islam even today (rather specially today after 9/11) is the fastest growing religion on the planet? If it is so filled with hatred, how is it so flexible in accepting anyone disregarding their previous religion or disregarding their race/color/gender? If is it so sick with cancer, why are so many people are trying to come under its shades? And also why is the reverse trend not significant (if there is any)? To this my answer is, they all are wiser to go for the source and don't make arguments by only seeing some of its followers or maybe just listening to someone who saw someon on a TV show talking something about them.
