stltoday.com — He is accused of shoplifting the pastry in Farmington, Mo., and pushing a store worker trying to stop him. The worker was unhurt. But with that shove, his shoplifting turned into a strong-arm robbery. As a persistent offender, man could face a murderer's term. "I can't believe this crap," he said.

ummmm no. very wrong. the first sentence was a generalization about what most stores are doing nowadays because they are so afraid of lawsuits. thieves and people in general are getting used to being treated with kid gloves and think that they can walk into any place of business and take whatever the hell they want to without paying and face little or no consequences whatsoever. when someone like this lady tries to stop them, they are so offended and appalled that they resort to violence. stores need to start cracking down on policies and enforcing the law. as i said in the original post, the woman should be applauded. and apparently the store was okay with her trying to stop this man because i didnt see anything about her getting fired for it.

OK! Enough of the bad language. I am the woman that the dough nut guy assaulted. I did not grab his arm, I just put my hand on his elbow to guide him back into the store. He then back handed me in the chest and I took off after him. I am sorry that he is a convicted felon, but that's not my problem, I never filed anything with the court's concerning this guy. I had to file a police report, but no one has ever contacted me about this incident. When the police arrived, they called him by his first name. I hope that I don't get called to testify, but if I do, I will go to court and tell the truth, exactly what happened.
